Austin Peay State University athletics reported various successes across multiple sports in late 2026. In football, the Governors secured a 35-17 season-opening victory against Gardner-Webb, led by offensive player of the year Chris Parson and Courtland Simmons. In soccer, the APSU team is preparing for its nonconference finale against Jackson State following a 1-0 victory over UT Martin.
