Austrian ski jumper Lisa Eder has successfully returned to professional competition following a brief retirement. In September 2026, Eder secured two victories at the Summer Intercontinental Cup in Stams, placing her at the top of the standings alongside China’s Zeng Ping. Her return followed a period of professional tension with the Austrian Ski Federation in early 2026. Eder had briefly announced her retirement due to a disagreement regarding the role of Manuel Fettner on her technical staff. An agreement was reached in August 2026, allowing Eder to resume her career with Fettner serving as part of her preparation team. In October 2026, Eder married fellow Austrian ski jumper and Olympic ~~silver~~ medalist Manuel Fettner in Leogang. The couple, who have been in a relationship since 2022, held a ceremony featuring a ski honor guard formed by fellow athletes. Following the wedding, the 25-year-old athlete will compete under the name Lisa Fettner as she prepares for a return to World Cup competition.
