Autumn cultural and seasonal activities in Denmark and|Nor and Nor

Museums and cultural sites in Denmark and Norway continue to host historical and seasonal activities during the autumn period. In Denmark, seasonal festivities are expanding. Næstved is hosting an autumn holiday program featuring pumpkin workshops, art activities at Galleri Gladkunst, and a children’s flea market at AL Sydbank Arkaden. Kunsthal Rønnebæksholm offers workshops on biodiversity and mythical animals. In Copenhagen, Bogforum 2026 is scheduled for October 30 to November 1 at the Bella Center, with Forlaget Carlsen participating in author meet-and-greets and writing workshops. Lyngby Storcenter is holding a month-long Halloween celebration throughout October, including themed decorations and a murder mystery investigation. Halloween-themed activities are also emerging in Bjergby, where residents are preparing for a large-scale show at Vestervænget 10 on October 31. This event utilizes 3D printing and repurposed materials for its scenery. New Halloween offerings include “Gys på den gamle fabrik” at Støberimuseet in Nykøbing Mors on October 16, featuring dark corridors and performers, while daytime “Mørke dage” sessions are available for younger guests. Museum Mors also provides fossil hunting in its moler pit. In Nørager, a large parade is scheduled for October 24, starting at a retirement home parking lot and ending at the Nørager Bosted facility. Other attractions include a free mask-making workshop at Storms Pakhus in Odense on October 31 and the “Nightmare Hospital” immersive horror experience at Charlottenlund Travbane from October 23 to October 31. In addition to cultural programming, the amusement park Fårup Sommerland reported a record-breaking October, attracting over 112,000 visitors during its 13 opening days. Director Niels Jørgen Jensen noted that the autumn season served as a “strong comeback” for the park, surpassing the previous record of 108,000 visitors. Other ongoing activities include the Danish Railway Museum operating the steam locomotive K 563 on the Coast Line, 563, special viewings at the Kobbelhøj megalithic tomb, and Viking-themed programming at Vikingeborgen Trelleborg. In Norway, the Jernbanemuseet continues its programs focused on exploration exploration, play, and historical locomotive exhibits.
