Autumn floral displays, specifically cosmos and Kochia plants, have reached peak bloom across various regions in Japan. In early October, seasonal scenery was noted at the Izumi Recycle Environmental Park in Izumi City, where cosmos flowers in pink, red, and white were expected to peak by mid-October alongside 2,000 square meters of Kochia. Similar blooms were reported in Sado, where cosmos fields provide views against an ocean backdrop. By mid-October, Kibanna cosmos reached peak bloom at Kinkowan Park in Kagoshima City. Despite regional temperatures exceeding 30°C, the flowers flourished, attracting visitors during a three-day holiday weekend. By late October, cosmos blooms expanded to Kyoto Prefecture and Tochigi Prefecture. In Ayabe City, approximately 300,000 pink, red, and white cosmos flowers reached full bloom at the Yuragawa Flower Garden in Aono-cho. In Tochigi City, a 45-are field in Shizuko, Iwafune-machi, features pink, white, yellow, and orange blossoms. This field was established in 2023 by local residents to encourage community interaction, with flowers sown in late August by local seniors and children. These blooms are expected to last until the end of the month. In late October, cosmos fields also reached peak bloom in Saitama and Okayama Prefectures. In Kazo City, approximately 70,000 colorful cosmos flowers, including pink, white, and pale yellow varieties, are at their peak near the Kazo Mirai-kan. In Maniwa City, about 80,000 cosmos flowers planted by a local dairy agricultural cooperative in late August are coloring the Hiruzen Highlands. This display, which began blooming around October 10, is expected to continue through early next week, barring interference from frost or typhoons. In late October, cosmos fields also reached peak bloom in Sanuki City, Kagawa Prefecture. High-density displays are available in Samagawa-cho, including sites managed by the Otui Satoyama Beautification Club and the Agritopia Noma Cosmos Village.
