Following this, TAP Air Portugal inaugurated a direct connection between Lisbon and São Luís, Brazil. This service, operating twice weekly, provides the state of Maranhão with its first regular air connection to Europe. The route utilizes Airbus A321LR aircraft and includes a stop in Fortaleza on both legs of the journey to boost tourism and business exchange. TAP Air Portugal has further expanded its international network by launching a direct service between Lisbon and Orlando, Florida. Operating three times weekly on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays using Airbus A330neo aircraft, this new route connects Europe to a major US economic and tourism hub. This expansion brings the airline’s total weekly flights between Portugal and the United States to over 70.
