AWOL Vision, a US-based imaging manufacturer, has expanded its ultra-short throw (UST) 4K projector lineup through new regional launches and flagship announcements. In August 2026, the company opened pre-orders for its Aetherion series on the Japanese crowdfunding platform Makuake. The lineup includes the Aetherion Max and the Aetherion Pro, both utilizing RGB triple laser technology and DLP technology to support screens up to 200 inches. The company partnered with Avance for distribution in Japan. Following this, in September 2026, AWOL Vision unveiled its flagship LuxVision projector at the CEDIA Expo. The LuxVision features a vertical optical shift capability, which the company describes as a “first for a 4K/120Hz UST projector,” allowing for image adjustments without resolution loss. This model offers up to 6,000 ISO lumens and is expected to be available globally around October 2026. Further details regarding the LuxVision were released at IFA 2026, highlighting its technical specifications for gaming and color accuracy. The unit features an RGB triple-laser system, 110% Rec. 2020 color coverage, and second-generation Anti-RBE technology to reduce rainbow artifacts. For gaming performance, it includes 1ms input lag, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), and Dolby Vision Gaming. A UK launch is anticipated in October with a projected price of £4,999.
