The combination of body heat, sweat and environmental dust fosters growth of pathogens such as Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli, creating a direct route for microbes to enter the body via the eyes, nose, mouth or cuts. The findings highlight a broader public‑health concern that high‑contact surfaces, whether in aircraft cabins or everyday personal items, remain significant reservoirs for bacteria, underscoring the need for more frequent disinfection habits.
