Badminton tournaments in Kohima region

Overview

Various badminton tournaments have been held in the Kohima region to promote community ties and grassroots sports development.

In late September, the Khezhakeno Kikruma Badminton Association held its fourth Open Badminton Tournament at the NLA Multipurpose Hall. The event involved 60 players from the Khezhakeno and Kikruma villages of the Phek district. Officials noted the tournament served to strengthen relationships and foster brotherhood between the two communities.

Following this, the Feathered Friends Club of Kohima Village concluded its second annual tournament at the T Khel Indoor Stadium in October. This three-day event featured 30 matches and provided a training platform for local players through various competitive formats, including knockout and league structures.
