The government of Baja California Sur has implemented several administrative and health-related measures to address regional emergencies. The state officially published a Search Protocol for Natural Disasters to establish coordinated guidelines for locating missing persons during climate or geological events across its five municipalities. Simultaneously, health authorities have expanded efforts to combat dengue transmission in Los Cabos and Comondú. Supported by federal resources, the state is deploying additional health brigades, fumigation units, and insecticide supplies. Measures include inspecting businesses to eliminate mosquito breeding ~~sites,~~ sites and distributing rapid tests to medical ~~units, and implementing~~ units. To further manage the outbreak, the Ministry of Health, in coordination with the National Public Health Service (SNSP), has launched a remote monitoring system for ~~confirmed patients.~~ patients diagnosed in public medical institutions. This strategy aims to track clinical evolution and identify warning signs that require specialized medical attention. Health Secretary Ana Luisa Guluarte Castro stated that SNSP personnel will maintain daily communication with high-risk patients, particularly those whose age or comorbidities increase the likelihood of complications. The protocol utilizes text messages or a digital application to administer structured symptom questionnaires. If warning signs are detected—such as bleeding from the gums, nose, or stool, persistent vomiting, extreme weakness, or acute abdominal pain—emergency response protocols will be activated.
