Baja Innovation Day 2026 technological summit

The Baja Innovation Day 2026 summit in Baja California focused on connecting younger generations and academic institutions with emerging technological trends and industrial sectors.

Initially, the event engaged approximately 600 students from five Colegio de Bachilleres del Estado de Baja California (COBACH BC) campuses in Tijuana. Organized by the Secretariat of Economy and Innovation, the program utilized conferences and workshops to demonstrate how tools like artificial intelligence and automation can support professional development.

As the event progressed, the focus expanded to strengthening links between academia and industry. Key presentations included TecNM Tijuana’s demonstration of reverse engineering capabilities for the aerospace sector via its Industrial Innovation Center for the Aerospace Sector (CIIA). Additionally, the Ensenada Innovation Hub was introduced as a project to facilitate technology transfer by integrating research centers, universities, and technological talent to support regional economic development.
