In July 2026, Bosnian-Herzegovinian director Aida Begić’s project Zrak u boci secured the TRT International Co-Production Award at Turkey’s 12 Punto platform, judged by a panel led by Asghar Farhadi. The co-production links Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro and Turkey, with filming slated to begin before year-end. Croatian-Serbian comedy-drama Koke, written and directed by Igor Jelinović, has maintained significant momentum following its success at the 73rd Pula Film Festival. The film secured the Grand Golden Arena for Best Film, alongside Golden Arenas for Best Screenplay, Best Leading Actress (Snježana Sinovčić-Šiškov), and Best Supporting Actress (Aleksandra Janković). It also received the Kino mreža Award for Best Croatian Film. Following its international screenings in Rotterdam, Kraków, and Los Angeles, the film transitioned to a successful domestic run. After a summer tour of Dalmatian venues, Koke reached over 10,500 viewers in Croatia following its July 23 theatrical release. The film was also selected for a special regional-premiere program at the Sarajevo Film Festival, where it competed for a €20,000 audience award. A screening in Zadar drew more than 250 spectators, featuring a post-screening discussion with Jelinović and actress Aleksandra Janković regarding the film’s themes of family and friendship. Produced by the Zagreb-based Eclectica and distributed by Kino Mediteran, the film continues its engagement with audiences through a tour of Croatian cinemas. The narrative, described as a warm and humorous drama, follows sisters Tonina and Tajana as they navigate property disputes and family tensions on an island. As part of its ongoing screenings, the film is scheduled to appear at the Jadran cinema in the Pag Culture Center on August 27.
