Several Balkan football clubs and sports societies are marking significant historical anniversaries through commemorative matches and celebrations. In late September, Serbia’s Spartak 1911 celebrated its 115th anniversary with a friendly match against Partizan’s youth selection. Simultaneously, Montenegro’s FK Dečić marked its 100th anniversary, highlighting its history as a multicultural symbol in Tuzi. By early October, the Yugoslav sports society Partizan celebrated 80 years of existence. As part of these commemorations, Partizan played a match against Borac Starčevo to honor the latter’s centenary, resulting in a 5-1 victory for Partizan. On October 4, the Yugoslav Sports Society (JSD) Partizan and FK Partizan marked their 81st anniversary. To commemorate the milestone, the club announced several infrastructure and development projects, including a new main pitch with covered stands at the Zemun sports center, the construction of an Academy dormitory, and the reconstruction of the stadium in Humska, which is expected to be completed by next summer. The club also highlighted ongoing efforts toward financial stabilization. During the centenary celebrations for Borac Starčevo, which included the match against Partizan attended by approximately 1,500 spectators, Borac officials received commemorative plaques and equipment from the Football Association of Vojvodina and representatives from Partizan.
