Simultaneously, urban-planning studies are underway to requalify Avenida Brasil and the North and South Pontais as part of the ongoing municipal master plan revision. Recent developments highlight continued investment in tourism and services. Over R$ 2 billion has been invested in theme parks and urban improvements, including the ongoing Barra Sul waterfront urbanization, to support tourism beyond the summer season.
