Banco de Tierra del Fuego (BTF) has implemented several financial initiatives to support the provincial economy. Initially, the bank focused on expanding credit and housing financing, increasing its UVA mortgage credit program by AR$5 billion to a total of AR$25 billion. This expansion included a cooperation agreement with Camuzzi Gas del Sur to integrate mortgage installments for gas-network connections into gas service billing, alongside plans to relaunch pawn-credit lines for commercial vehicles. Following these expansions, the bank introduced a new suite of financial relief tools aimed at providing assistance to families facing a difficult economic context. Manager Duarte stated these preventive measures are designed to address rising basic needs and prevent severe delinquency by offering customized solutions, such as extended payment terms, to both current customers facing difficulties and those with more than 60 days of arrears. Expanding its operational scope, BTF has launched a specialized unit focused on capital markets, fiduciary services, and structured finance. This division aims to support large or complex investment projects through tools such as syndicated loans, trusts for infrastructure, and operations with non-traditional guarantees. BTF President Adrián Cosentino noted the goal is to provide solutions tailored to individual project needs, potentially in collaboration with other financial entities and multilateral organizations. Furthermore, the bank has formalized its membership in the Mercado Argentino de Valores (MAV). MAV CEO Fernando J. Luciani stated this integration allows the bank to act as a market participant, buying, selling, and intermediating securities to strengthen the link between the provincial financial system and capital markets for local SMEs and companies. Building on these relief efforts, BTF has launched a widespread financial relief and debt reduction scheme across all branches.
