To mark the 30th anniversary of the virtual pet franchise, Bandai unveiled the Tamagotchi Ring, a wearable device designed to be worn on a finger. The product represents a significant engineering feat, measuring approximately 28mm in height and approximately 56% of the size of the original 1996 model. Pre-orders for the device opened on August 27, 2026, via Premium Bandai in Japan at a price of 7,700 yen. Shipping is expected to begin in February 2027, with a second wave of shipments scheduled for April 2027. Currently, no official international retail channels have been confirmed, suggesting collectors outside of Japan may need to rely on third-party importers.
