As heavy rainfall produced up to 320 mm and caused canals to overflow, Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt has maintained close monitoring of areas near Khlong Saen Saep, Bang Kapi, Khlong Prem Prachakorn, and Khlong Prawet. While main roads are expected to normalize within two to three days, residential communities may require up to two weeks to dry completely. In the Rom Klao community, which houses over 30,000 residents, significant flooding necessitated evacuations. Due to overcrowding at local shelters, many evacuees were moved to King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang. Authorities have prioritized food supplies and the evacuation of bedridden patients from flooded zones. Deputy Interior Minister Worasit Liangprasit reported that the situation is beginning to improve, though high water levels remain a concern in Khlong Chan, Rom Klao, and Lat Krabang. To support residents, the Ministry of Interior is distributing field kitchens and deploying mobile toilet trucks. Following the movement of a low-pressure system toward Myanmar, heavy rains have subsided, though monitoring remains critical. Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has since mobilized government agencies, designating the Bangkok Governor as the ‘Single Command’ leader to unify drainage efforts and resource management. Cabinet members have conducted nighttime visits to communities like Kheha Rom Klao and Khlong Chan flats to distribute food and survival kits via boats. To mitigate health risks, the Minister of Public Health has distributed Doxycycline to prevent leptospirosis. Additionally, the government has ordered the preparation of initial compensation budgets for those impacted by the disaster. Recent reports indicate that rainfall is expected to decrease over the next three days, providing a window to accelerate drainage. While major roads are expected to improve shortly, clearing residential communities may take up to seven days due to the need for specialized pumping to remove water that crossed flood barriers.
