Roman Skuhravý, coach of the Czech football club Baník, has addressed recent team performances following a series of matches. Following a match against Hradec Králové, Skuhravý noted that while the team showed progress by equalizing despite playing with ten men, they suffered a loss due to a lack of focus on set pieces and missed scoring opportunities. He also commented on a technical error involving the substitution board during the 82nd minute, stating, “I thought I was going to kill someone!” In a subsequent match, Baník suffered a 0:4 defeat. Skuhravý remarked that although the first-half offensive performance was the best during his tenure, the team struggled with defensive lapses, a lack of clinical finishing, and inconsistency between offensive and defensive play. In the 7th round of the Czech Chance Liga, FK Mladá Boleslav secured a 4-0 victory over FC Baník Ostrava. Martin Šubert scored twice for Boleslav, with Solomon John and Josef Kolářík adding further goals. Following this defeat, Baník Ostrava remains in tenth place. Skuhravý reiterated that despite showing offensive potential in the first half, defensive lapses and inefficiency resulted in the heavy loss.
