The German TV programme Bares für Rares continues to showcase rare antiques that attract strong viewer interest and varied auction results. Meanwhile, Annette Schwicking presented an 180-year-old refractor telescope from Münster; although she sought €15,000 for the piece and its original wooden transport box, expert valuations placed its worth between €4,000 and €6,000. In late August 2026, tension arose when cousins Friederike Generotzky and Dorothee Lewens attempted to sell a vintage jewelry ensemble from the mid-19th century. Although Heide Rezepa-Zabel identified the brooch and earring clips as being made of 585 gold, the lack of official stamps led to disagreements regarding the expertise and valuation. Consequently, the sellers withdrew from the transaction. The program also highlighted other high-value sales, such as a 1968 Jaguar E-Type Coupé for €60,000 and a diamond-encrusted relic cross for €42,000.
