Bariloche utility infrastructure developments

Overview

Infrastructure projects in Bariloche, Argentina, are focusing on improving water and gas services. The Cooperativa de Electricidad Bariloche (CEB) has begun a repair and replacement program for its water treatment plant following material failures that damaged aeration components. This effort includes implementing double shifts and hiring specialized personnel to address technical failures that caused noise and odor disturbances for local residents.

In a broader development, a water supply project involving an investment of over $21 billion is progressing to provide potable water from Lake Gutiérrez to more than 75,000 residents. This initiative includes the construction of a new water treatment plant and large-diameter piping. Additionally, the provincial government is advancing gas infrastructure projects to reinforce the supply for the Dr. Ramón Carrillo Zonal Hospital and expand the network to serve thousands of new users and families.
