Electronic Arts and Battlefield Studios have officially designated the upcoming Season 5 as ‘Siege of Vegas’. Scheduled to launch on October 13, the update focuses on Nevada-based content, specifically introducing the Vegas Strip map, which features destructible casinos and hotels, and an Area 51 map featuring desert and underground environments. Gameplay updates include the introduction of ‘Rapid Royale’ to the Battlefield REDSEC mode, a faster-paced Battle Royale experience utilizing a redeployment token system. The season will also host a Dead Space-themed event from October 20 to November 7, offering exclusive cosmetic items and themed environments. This crossover, titled ‘Convergence’, will feature a 16-player PvE mode. New content details include the addition of four weapons: the Mk 24, Z84M, RSPR, and ELR-40. On the competitive front, the Battlefield REDSEC Open and Elite Series are returning, with the Elite Series offering a global prize pool of $1,338,000 USD. A subsequent phase of the season, ‘Casino Heist,’ is planned for November 10 and will include a European Casino map.
