Baume & Mercier has introduced new additions to its Clifton collection, continuing a design aesthetic inspired by the 1950s. Initial releases included a limited edition 39mm stainless steel timepiece featuring an ice blue guilloché dial and a Baumatic manufacture calibre with a five-day power reserve. This model includes alpha-shaped hands and rhodium-plated faceted indices. Following this, the brand expanded the line with the Clifton Quantième Perpétuel. This model features a steel case and a glacier blue dial, utilizing an in-house Baumatic movement to power a perpetual calendar complication. The mechanism automatically tracks the Gregorian calendar, including leap years, requiring no manual adjustment until the year 2100. The watch displays the day, date, month, moon phase, and leap year indicator. Recent updates to the collection, aligned with a broader 2025 redesign following the brand’s acquisition by the Italian Damiani group, include a 39mm Clifton Baumatic limited to 500 pieces and a 40mm perpetual calendar version with a moon phase limited to 20 pieces. These models utilize custom “glacier blue” shades and guilloché patterns to enhance light reflection.
