Overview

Musical interest in Ludwig van Beethoven has been highlighted through various performances and recordings. Pianist Igor Levit began a project at the Musikverein in Vienna to perform a complete cycle of Beethoven’s 32 piano sonatas, a series structured across eight concert evenings.

In anticipation of the 2027 bicentenary of Beethoven’s death, additional works are being spotlighted.
