Benetton Rugby began preparations for the 2026/27 season with intensive training camps in Calalzo di Cadore. Under head coach Wayne Pivac, the squad focused on team cohesion and reintegrating players like Federico Ruzza following international commitments. Following these training sessions, the team participated in a high-level pre-season test match against Zebre Parma at Monigo Stadium. The match, which marked Pivac’s debut as head coach, ended in a 21-21 ~~draw as both teams prepared for upcoming~~ draw. Zebre Parma initially took the lead through a Ribaldi try and kicking by Montemauri, and later extended their advantage to 14-7 via a Trulla try.
