Better Choice Awards 2026 and VIMS conclude in Hanoi
Overview
The Better Choice Awards 2026, held as part of National Innovation Day in Hanoi, has concluded its evaluation and gala ceremonies. Co-organized by VCCorp and the National Innovation Center (NIC) under the theme ‘Innovation Beyond Borders’, the awards have evolved from the 2022 Car Choice Awards into a broader platform recognizing technological and service-based innovation.
The event featured two primary tracks: the Innovative Choice Awards (ICA) and the Nation Builders Awards. The latter was introduced to recognize enterprises building the technical foundations and high-tech value chains necessary for national development. During the gala, 45 categories across four award pillars were honored, highlighting Vietnam’s progress in digital transformation from hardware infrastructure to end-user services.
Key recipients included Viettel Group, which received four awards for projects such as the commencement of Vietnam’s first semiconductor chip manufacturing plant at the Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park and the operation of the Hoa Lac 2 Data Center, which integrates the NVIDIA H200 supercomputer. Global corporations including Samsung, LG, Intel, Amkor Technology, and Qualcomm were recognized for integrating Vietnam into the global digital supply chain. In the public sector, the iHanoi digital platform was honored for optimizing citizen feedback and information services.
In the consumer technology sector, the Smart Choice Awards highlighted innovative products, including the OPPO Find X9 Ultra for mobile photography, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 for flexible productivity, and the ASUS Zenbook DUO 2026 for mobile workspaces.
Parallel to the main awards, the Vietnam Innovative Mobility Show (VIMS) 2026 took place on October 3 and 4 at the National Convention Center. The exhibition showcased nearly 60 vehicles, including hybrid and pure electric models, and concluded with the Car Choice Awards (CCA) 2026 Gala, which announced winners across 14 categories.
