BIGBANG concert series in Hanoi

Overview

The BIGBANG 2026–2027 World Tour [XX : COSMOS] in Hanoi has generated substantial tourism and travel demand. Ahead of the scheduled performances at My Dinh National Stadium on October 24–25, flight bookings to the capital rose by 74% for the concert period, with passenger numbers increasing 76% compared to the previous year. Data from Trip.com indicated that hotels within a 3km radius of My Dinh Stadium were fully booked as early as July 29, with reservations for the concert dates seeing a 15-fold increase compared to the monthly average. Travelers planned well in advance, with flight and hotel bookings averaging 70 and 76 days prior to departure, respectively. As the event concludes, the two-night series, marking the group’s 20th anniversary, drew approximately 90,000 fans in total. The performing lineup included G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung, who performed iconic hits such as ‘Fantastic Baby’, ‘Tonight’, ‘Haru Haru’, and ‘Bang Bang Bang’. Notable moments included G-Dragon’s signature guitar-smashing performance and Taeyang’s promise to the crowd that the group would return to Vietnam. The event is projected to generate between 650 and 800 billion VND for Hanoi’s tourism sector. In the My Dinh area, hotel occupancy exceeded 80%, with prices increasing by 5% to 15%. Major establishments, including Novotel Hanoi Thai Ha, Novotel Suites Hanoi, and Sheraton Hanoi, reported near-full capacity or significant price hikes of 30% to 50% compared to standard weekends. Due to the scarcity of rooms near the stadium, travelers increasingly sought lodging in neighboring districts such as Cau Giay and Bac Tu Liem. Transportation costs also rose, with round-trip flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi reaching nearly 7 million VND for convenient schedules.
