The tenth season of the Telugu reality television show, Bigg Boss Telugu, was announced to feature a ‘celebrity vs commoners’ format. The season was scheduled to premiere on September 6, utilizing a ‘Dasavatharam’ theme and featuring Nagarjuna Akkineni as the host. Following its launch, the season officially commenced with 16 contestants entering the Bigg Boss house. The participant group includes a mix of film and television celebrities alongside common citizens selected through a process called ‘Agnipariksha’. The competition is expected to last for 100 days. As the first week concluded, no contestant eliminations were recorded. During a subsequent weekend review, host Nagarjuna issued various punishments and reprimands. Jhansi was named the season’s first captain. Krishnudu and Srishti were punished for a lack of visibility, while the entire house lost daytime access to beds. In the second week, Krishnudu was eliminated following a weekend episode featuring a ‘Master and Puppet’ task, where contestants identified manipulators and subordinates. During this episode, Thrigun alleged that Mukesh leads a ‘pack of wolves’ within the house, though Mukesh was named the Star Player of the week. Host Nagarjuna has since issued yellow cards to Rohith, Thrigun, and Aman as final warnings against further rule violations, aggression, or abusive language. Rohith faced scrutiny over objectionable language, while Aman was cautioned for conduct during physical tasks that Nagarjuna compared to a ‘street fight’. Other contestants faced criticism, including Apoorva, who was labeled a ‘disastrous captain’, Shalini, for profanity, and Mukesh, regarding his language toward female contestants. In more recent developments, Trigun received a jail punishment following the screening of a video depicting inappropriate behavior. Rohith was barred from participating in captaincy tasks after receiving feedback regarding his communication style, with Nagarjuna threatening him with eviction if mistakes continued.
