Bihar political leadership and coalition dynamics

Overview

Following a leadership transition in Bihar, Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary addressed speculation regarding the departure of his predecessor, Nitish Kumar. Choudhary asserted that Kumar stepped down from the chief minister post voluntarily rather than being forced by the BJP, describing Kumar as the ‘undisputed leader’ of the NDA in Bihar.

Internal coalition dynamics later became a subject of political debate following a viral photograph from a government school event in Danapur. The image, which depicts Chief Minister Choudhary seated while Cooperation Minister Ramkripal Yadav stands nearby, led opposition leaders to question the internal hierarchy and political stature of ministers within the ruling NDA government.
