The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has announced officially opened the online registration process for the 2026 Bihar State Teacher Eligibility Test (STET). The online application window window, which opened on August 17, is scheduled to run from August 17 to remain active until August 31, 2026. The examination consists of two levels: Paper I is designed for secondary level teachers (Classes 9-10) and Paper II candidates seeking teaching eligibility for higher secondary level teachers (Classes 11-12). The test classes 9 through 12 and will be conducted as a Computer Based Test (CBT) worth (CBT). The test consists of 150 marks objective questions totaling 150 marks, with no negative marking. Successful candidates receive a qualification with lifetime validity The scoring structure includes 100 marks for future government teaching positions in Bihar. the main subject and 50 marks covering general ability and the art of teaching. Eligibility requirements include remain divided into two levels: Paper I for secondary level teachers (Classes 9-10) requires a graduation degree with a B.Ed. for B.Ed., while Paper I and II for higher secondary level teachers (Classes 11-12) requires a post-graduation degree with a B.Ed. for Paper II. Academic requirements Candidates generally necessitate need at least 50% marks, though candidates from reserved categories may receive a 5% relaxation. Age requirements specify a minimum age of 21 relaxation is available for reserved categories such as of August 1, 2026, with maximum age limits ranging SC, ST, EBC, and BC. Application fees for the exam range from 37 Rs 760 to 42 depending on the category. Rs 960 for a single paper.
