The 8th Bilimfest Kayseri is ~~scheduled to be~~ being held from October 16 to 18, 2026, at the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Millet Bahçesi. Organized by the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality in collaboration with TÜBİTAK and led by the Kayseri Science Center, the festival aims to promote science, technology, innovation, and aviation. Key attractions include the exhibition of Hürjet, Turkey’s first indigenous turbofan-powered jet trainer and light attack aircraft developed by TUSAŞ. Representatives from Askerî Fabrika ve Tersane İşletme A.Ş. (ASFAT) and Türk Havacılık ve Uzay Sanayii (TUSAŞ) hosted educational stands where participants built models of the ~~youth.~~ KAAN, Turkey’s first national 5th generation combat aircraft, and the Mechanical Mine Clearing Equipment (MEMATT). ASFAT officials noted that these workshops aim to teach children about the functions and applications of domestic technologies, which included the introduction of the ‘Mavi Vatan Defense Game’.
