The 2026 Billboard Latin Music Week and awards ceremony were held in Miami, featuring industry panels at the Faena Forum and Faena Theater. Discussions led by figures such as Tommy Mottola and Alex Gallardo addressed the global rise of Latin music and the expansion of Brazilian markets, while artists like Quevedo and Kidd Voodoo explored the ‘New Urban Movement’. The week culminated in the Billboard Latin Music Awards on October 22 at the James L. Knight Center. Hosted by Carmen Villalobos and Javier Poza, the ceremony honored several industry legends: Rubén Blades received the Billboard Icon Award; Rosalía was inducted into the Hall of Fame by Juan Luis Guerra and won Top Latin Pop Album of the Year for ‘LUX’; Cristian Castro was presented with the Career Achievement Award; and Fuerza Regida earned the Vanguard Award. The ceremony also featured a tribute to the late Juan Gabriel, performed by various artists including Carlos Rivera and Pablo Alborán. In competitive categories, Fuerza Regida emerged as a major winner, securing eight awards, including Hot Latin Song of the Year and Global 200 Latin Song of the Year for ‘Marlboro Rojo’. Bad Bunny also had a significant night, winning seven awards, including Artist of the Year, Tour of the Year, and Songwriter of the Year, though he was not present. Other notable winners included Karol G, who won the inaugural Fans' Choice Artist award, as well as Peso Pluma and Romeo Santos, who each took home four honors. Peso Pluma led the field with 17 nominations. Colombian artists saw significant success, particularly Karol G, who secured additional high-profile wins including Female Artist of the Year in Hot Latin Songs and Female Artist of the Year in Top Latin Albums.
