Birdbuddy has expanded its line of smart bird feeders with several new models. Initially, the company released the Birdbuddy Home, a $299 redesigned device featuring a birdhouse aesthetic, integrated solar panels, a larger battery, and a magnetically attached camera capable of widescreen or vertical captures. Following this, the company launched the Birdbuddy Nook line, aimed at beginner bird-watchers. The Nook model starts at $99 and utilizes AI-driven species recognition via a mobile app without a subscription. This lineup includes a solar-powered version for $159 and a ‘Birdbuddy Home mode’ for $219, which provides a larger 6-cup capacity and increased perching space. Recent updates confirm the Nook features a 2K HDR camera with a 135-degree field of view and a 3.8-cup seed capacity. As part of this product shift, Birdbuddy has discontinued the sale of the Birdbuddy Pro on its official website, though remaining stock may be available through Amazon until late 2026. Shipping for the new Nook models is expected to begin in November.
