The Black Clover franchise is undergoing media expansion through new streaming availability, theatrical events, and upcoming publications. In the United Kingdom, Disney+ has added the first season of the anime and the film Summer Wars to its library via a partnership with Anime Limited. In North America, Crunchyroll has scheduled early theatrical screenings for the second season of the anime on September 21. These screenings, part of the ‘Anime Night Sneak Peek’ event, will feature the new season in Japanese with English subtitles and cover the Spade Kingdom Raid Arc. These screenings are being hosted by Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment across more than 280 theaters in the United States and Canada. Regarding the anime’s return, the second season is scheduled to premiere in Japan on October 3, 2026. Produced by Studio Pierrot and directed by Ayataka Tanemura, the season will adapt the Spade Kingdom arc, the penultimate arc of the manga, focusing on the conflict against the Dark Triad. The season will be available for simulcast streaming via Crunchyroll. Musical contributions include the opening theme ‘Kienai Riyuu’ by WANIMA and the ending theme ‘Yellow Brick Road’ by ONE OR EIGHT. Further developments include an announcement from Shueisha regarding a new digital art book by creator Yuki Tabata, scheduled for release in Japan on November 10. This book is expected to contain previously unreleased illustrations and character designs. Additionally, the anime's return will focus on the conflict against the Dark Triad of the Spade Kingdom, with special cinema screenings for the first episode organized by Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment across more than 280 theaters in the United States and Canada.
