Ghanaian musician Black Sherif has released a new six-track EP titled ‘Sun Sherif’. The project represents a thematic shift toward a more hopeful and luminous tone compared to his previous works, focusing on personal growth, emotional release, and newfound peace. Describing the EP as a “deconstruction” of his artistic foundations, the artist noted that the work is an examination of his current identity rather than a reinvention or genre shift. The project is characterized by an intimate, reflective tone, conceptually centered around the setting of a bedroom to capture solitude. It features collaborations with Ghanaian artist AratheJay and the Trinidad and Tobago duo Full Blown. Following the EP’s release on September 4, 2026, several tracks have appeared on the Apple Music Ghana charts. To promote the project, Black Sherif is scheduled to appear at the University of Ghana on Thursday, September 17, 2026. The campus has been a frequent venue for the artist, who previously headlined a Telecel TurnUp event there in February 2026.
