Finnish modern metal band Blind Channel has announced the release of their sixth studio album, ‘Painstream’, scheduled for 30 October 2026 via Century Media Records. This release marks the end of an 18-month hiatus for the group. The album is described as the band’s most mature and ambitious work, featuring 12 tracks that explore themes of personal growth, self-reflection, and the universal nature of human suffering. To preview the material, the band released a short film featuring the double singles ‘Diana’ and ‘No Encores in a Swan Song’. The album also includes a collaboration with Aaron Pauley of Of Mice & Men on the track ‘Into The Void’. Following the initial announcement, the band released a new single titled ‘Stars We See’, accompanied by a music video produced by Riivata Visuals. The band described this track as a representation of the “more hopeful themes and soundscapes” explored during their hiatus. ‘Painstream’ will be available in various formats, including digital versions, multiple vinyl editions, and several CD options such as a limited 500-Frames digipak. The To support the release, the band has also announced live performances, including a debut of the new material at an extensive tour schedule. This includes performances in Helsinki Ice Hall and Japan in November 2026, followed by shows in Tokyo and Osaka, Japan. A a European and United Kingdom headline tour is planned to begin in February 2027. early 2027, which will feature support from Block Of Flats.
