The fifth edition of the Blue Marina Awards concluded at the Chamber of Deputies in Rome, recognizing 22 Italian tourist ports and marinas for excellence in service quality, innovation, safety, and environmental sustainability. The evaluation process utilized over 40 performance indicators across six strategic areas, including energy, climate, digitalization, and accessibility, with independent verification provided by RINA. Recipients included facilities such as Bisceglie Approdi SpA, Marina di Pescara, Porto Turistico Marina Uno, D-Marin Punta Faro, and Shipyard & Marina Sant’Andrea. The awards ceremony highlighted the strategic importance of maritime infrastructure in supporting Italy’s coastal economies and tourism competitiveness. Among the honorees, Marina di Porto Cervo received the award in the superyacht tourist port category on October 21, 2026. This marks the fourth consecutive year the facility has earned the recognition. Davide Cerea, CFO of Smeralda Holding and Marina di Porto Cervo, accepted the award. Part of the Smeralda Holding Group, which is indirectly controlled by the Qatar Investment Authority, the marina accommodates vessels up to 160 meters in length and serves an international clientele.
