Blue Owl Capital institutional and debt activity

Blue Owl Capital and its technology-focused subsidiary, Blue Owl Technology Finance Corp (OTF), have experienced significant financial activity involving debt issuance and shifting institutional ownership.

OTF raised $150 million through a private placement of senior unsecured notes with a 7.6% coupon maturing in September 2032. This transaction brought the total debt capital raised by the vehicle to $800 million since the end of the second quarter, intended to expand capital deployment into technology-related private credit opportunities.

Institutional trading activity for Blue Owl Capital Corporation has been mixed. While Squarepoint Ops LLC reduced its position by 66.2% during the second quarter, other entities such as Caz Investments LP, Waverly Advisors LLC, VPR Management LLC, Wedmont Private Capital, and HB Wealth Management LLC reported increased holdings. Institutional investors and hedge funds currently own approximately 42.83% of the stock. Analysts have noted the company’s potential to benefit from digital infrastructure and AI-related growth.
