BolognaFiere is hosting major industrial exhibitions in October 2026, focusing on road infrastructure, building systems, and construction governance. The Asphaltica trade fair, organized by BolognaFiere and Siteb, is expanding its 2026 edition to include 140 exhibitors. The event covers topics such as smart roads, ESG sustainability, and infrastructure investment, featuring a live demonstration area for road requalification. Simultaneously, the SAIE Impianti event includes technical forums on thermal hydraulics, energy efficiency, and heat pump technology. The 60th edition of the SAIE construction and design exhibition brings exhibition, organized by Senaf, brought together 567 companies and 68 partner associations. The event was structured into four sectors: Design and Digitalization, Construction, Systems, and Services and Media, with thematic tracks covering Infrastructure, Sustainability, Innovation, and People. This edition emphasizes emphasized the ‘governance of construction,’ involving facilitating dialogue between the production sector and government commissioners tasked with representatives. Key discussions addressed the ‘Piano Casa’ (Housing Plan), urban regeneration, seismic safety, energy efficiency, and digitalization. The event featured participation from local leaders, including Bologna Mayor Matteo Lepore and Emilia-Romagna Vice President Vincenzo Colla, as well as Infrastructure and Transport Minister Matteo Salvini via video link. Extraordinary Commissioners were present to discuss reconstruction efforts following the 2016 Central Italy earthquake and recent flooding in Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany, and Marche. The exhibition also addresses large-scale projects like Euro 2032 stadium renovations floods, including Guido Castelli and Fabrizio Curcio, while Felice Squitieri participated regarding the ‘Piano Casa.’ 2026 Housing Plan. The event features participation from local leaders fair concluded with record-breaking participation, hosting 40,723 professional visitors and Infrastructure 235 training conferences. SAIE will follow a rotation between Bologna and Transport Minister Matteo Salvini. Bari, with the next event scheduled for Bari in October 2027.
