Bosch is advancing its e-bike ecosystem by integrating hardware safety systems with digital connectivity. Initial developments focused on enhancing the eBike Flow App, which provides users with navigation tools, security features, and training capabilities. Key updates included the ability to save favorite destinations and adjust routes mid-ride using a quick menu on the Ride Screen. Subsequent expansions introduced the Bosch eBike ABS Pro, an anti-lock braking system designed to prevent wheel lock-up and improve maneuverability. The digital suite was further augmented with AI-supported range planning and digital theft protection, creating a more comprehensive and intelligent riding experience. Recent software enhancements have focused on making e-biking more intuitive for commuting and long-distance touring. Users can now save up to three favorite destinations for quick access via the display or Ride Screen and adjust routes mid-ride using the quick menu on the LED-Remote, Mini Remote, or Purion 200. This technology is being applied to specific models, such as the KTM Macina Gran 610 low-step electric bike. Designed for city and trekking use, this model utilizes the Bosch Performance CX Gen. 4 Smart System motor, delivering 85 Nm of torque, paired with a 625 Wh Bosch PowerTube battery and Shimano components.
