Bosnia and Herzegovina football player eligibility interest

Overview

Speculation has emerged regarding several young footballers potentially choosing to represent the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.

Nineteen-year-old defender Enis Hadžimujović, who previously played for Serbia at the U18 and U19 levels, has been linked to Bosnia and Herzegovina following social media activity by his father. Hadžimujović, a prominent figure for Novi Pazar, has attracted interest from several European clubs.

Similarly, 19-year-old midfielder Adin Ličina, currently on loan from Juventus to Cremonese, has signaled a potential switch. After Bosnia and Herzegovina coach Sergej Barbarez attended one of his matches, Ličina removed social media content linking him to German youth national teams and unfollowed the German Football Association. While Ličina has represented German youth selections, he remains eligible for both Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro.
