The 2026–27 WWin league season has progressed through the sixth round, with Zrinjski Mostar maintaining a perfect record. Following a 3–1 victory over BSK in the fifth round, Zrinjski secured a 2–1 win against Široki Brijeg in Mostar, powered by two goals from Nemanja Bilbija, keeping them at the top of the table with 18 points. In the race for the top positions, FK Sarajevo and Borac Banja Luka are following closely, each holding 10 points. The highly anticipated 160th Sarajevo city derby, a rescheduled fixture from the second round, recently took place at Stadion Grbavica. Despite Sarajevo hitting the crossbar through Ivan Šarić in the 64th minute, Željezničar sealed the 2–0 victory in the 73rd minute when Muharem Husković scored with a header from an Aleksej Pejić cross. The match was marked by high tension and verbal confrontations between players.
