Botafogo football club coaching transition

Overview

Botafogo appointed Adenor Leonardo Bachi, known as Tite, as the club’s new head coach. The appointment follows a period of tension and delays, with the club offering the experienced manager a long-term contract to stabilize the team and implement a long-term project through the club’s professional corporate structure (SAF).

During the FIFA international break, Tite utilized the pause in the competitive calendar to evaluate the squad and implement tactical adjustments. This period allowed for the observation of academy youth players, such as attacker Kauan Toledo, and the assessment of players seeking to regain their positions. Tite also tested positional changes, including the potential move of midfielder Cristian Medina to the left side, while focusing on physical conditioning for players like Matheus Martins and Tiquinho Soares.
