The 6th Brasília International Book Biennial (BiLB) is scheduled to return to the National Museum of the Republic from August 17 to 23, marking its comeback after a four-year hiatus. Under the theme ‘Ler o Amanhã’ (Reading Tomorrow), the event offers free admission and is expected to attract approximately 30,000 visitors. The program is structured around six thematic pillars: authors, children’s literature, multimedia, music, the creative economy, and comics. Other regional highlights include the reopening of the Anna Luiza Prado Bastos Municipal Library in Campo Grande, the Bananada Festival in Goiânia, and the Festival de Lençóis in Chapada Diamantina. Additional cultural developments include the Winter Festival in Piratininga, Niterói, and a charity bazaar in Fortaleza to benefit local social institutions. In Rio de Janeiro, the Museu de Arte do Rio (MAR) is accepting applications for its 2026 Cultural Mediator Training Course, managed by the Organização de Estados Ibero-Americanos (OEI), which focuses on ‘Networks between Museums and Education’. Furthermore, author Fernando Morais is set to launch the second volume of his biography of Lula in Florianópolis. Recent reports also highlight the 2026 Cultural Heritage Week in Rio, focusing on urban requalification and memory preservation, alongside various regional festivals such as the Festival das Estações in Araxá and the Viva México festival in Osasco.
