Brazil’s Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI) has continued administrative updates regarding the Concurso Nacional Unificado (CNU). Regarding the second edition of the CNU, the MGI authorized the appointment of 69 successful candidates. These roles include 50 specialist positions at the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP)—focusing on petroleum, derivatives, alcohol, natural gas regulation, geology, and geophysics—10 positions at Ancine, and 9 positions within the Ministry of Health distributed among the Evandro Chagas Institute (IEC), the National Cancer Institute (Inca), and the National Primates Center (Cenp). For the first edition of the CNU, the MGI has implemented mandatory procedures for candidates on the waiting list to remain eligible for potential future appointments. Candidates must individually manifest their interest in available positions via the SOUGOV application or web portal using a Gov.br account with silver or gold security levels. The final deadline for this manifestation is 11:59 PM on Friday, September 11, 2026. Failure to register interest for each specific position by this deadline results in definitive exclusion from the ‘Bank of Approved Candidates on the Waiting List’ and all contested positions, including potential temporary contracts. On September 25, 2026, the Fundação Escola Nacional de Administração Pública (Enap) and the MGI released a new classification list for the 2025 CNU, published in the Diário Oficial da União. This list addresses remaining vacancies for both intermediate and higher-level positions across various federal entities. The vacancies include general competition and reserved quotas for Indigenous people, persons with disabilities, and Black and Pardo individuals. Per the contest rules, if a candidate is summoned for their highest-preference position, they are automatically removed from lists for lower-preference options to allow other candidates to be called.
