On 3 August actress Paolla Oliveira revealed a wave of pornographic deepfakes exploiting her likeness, citing a NetLab study that found 198 fraudulent ads and noting recent legal amendments that raise penalties for AI‑driven gender‑based violence. On 3 August actress Flavia Alessandra and presenter Otaviano Costa used their verified accounts to alert fans that AI‑generated videos falsely showing them endorsing products were circulating, urging verification of any advertisement against their official profiles and reporting of suspicious posts. They referenced actress Fernanda Montenegro’s recent complaint about an AI‑generated miracle‑cure promotion, highlighting a broader surge in AI‑driven fraud that has already caused millions of reais in losses.
