Admissions activity for 2027 entrance exams continued through late August 2026. The State University of Southwest Bahia (Uesb) opened fee exemption requests for its 2027 vestibular, available to public school graduates and university staff, with applications due between 3 and 25 August. The Federal University of Roraima (UFRR) set a registration deadline of 31 August for 747 seats across 38 courses, with exams scheduled for 29 November. In Rio de Janeiro, UERJ confirmed that applications for its second qualification exam close on 7 August. To assist candidates, particularly those for Medicine, the university’s partners, Foco Ensino Personalizado and EconRio, provide simulated exams to replicate the essay-based second phase. Preparatory efforts expanded in southern Brazil. The Universidade Estadual de Londrina (UEL) held a free open-class session in Londrina on 7 August to support its upcoming October exams. Meanwhile, the Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR) scheduled a free simulated exam for 15 August, organized by Curso Positivo, which will mirror the university’s new single-phase format through both online and in-person sessions. In São Paulo, registration for the University of São Paulo (USP) 2027 Fuvest entrance exam officially opened on 17 August and will run until 9 October. The process offers 8,147 undergraduate vacancies, including 4,888 for general competition, 2,053 for public school students, and 1,206 for self-declared Black, mixed-race, or Indigenous students from public schools. The 2027 exam introduces a reduced first phase on 1 November consisting of 80 multiple-choice questions to promote an interdisciplinary evaluation model. The second stage is scheduled for 6 and 7 December. To assist candidates from the Northeast, Fortaleza (CE) has been added as a testing center. New cycles emerged at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). Additional registration cycles have opened across the country.
