Brazil-France academic and scientific cooperation
Overview
Brazil and France are expanding academic and scientific cooperation through various international programs.
Initial efforts focused on higher education partnerships, such as the launch of an International Master’s in Innovation Management between the University of São Paulo and Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. Other initiatives included opportunities for FECAP students to attend intensive courses at Audencia Business School in France.
Cooperation has since extended into specialized scientific fields, specifically regarding the Amazonian sociobioeconomy. Following a bilateral agreement from 2024, researchers and students from several French and Brazilian universities participated in a 12-day immersion program in Pará. This program, part of the International Immersive School in Amazonian Sociobioeconomy, focused on sustainable development models, indigenous roles, and field studies of production chains like açaí, cocoa, and rubber.
