Luchsinger is under a separate Federal Police investigation for alleged influence‑peddling and fraud linked to the INSS scandal and is a close friend of Lula’s son, Fábio Luís Lula da Silva (Lulinha). Police have opened multiple inquiries into Lulinha’s alleged influence‑peddling, and prosecutors allege Luchsinger made more than 40 unrecorded visits to federal agencies between January 2023 and April 2024. Ribeiro, who left his chief‑of‑staff post on 21 July to join the campaign, has provided his financial records to the judiciary and retained counsel, though no direct investigation targets him.
