Brazilian agricultural cooperatives are engaging in regional trade exhibitions and reporting significant financial growth. Capal Cooperativa Agroindustrial has announced the 2027 Expoleite event in Paraná, focusing on dairy cattle genetics, while C.Vale is participating in Expo Assis 2026 to showcase diverse production chains including poultry, fish, and swine. In terms of economic performance, Copacol reported 2025 revenues of R$ 11.1 billion and projects reaching R$ 12 billion by 2026. Additionally, Cresol Vale das Águas PR/MG has expanded its operations to 16 agencies across Paraná and Minas Gerais, serving more than 15,000 members. The sector has recently reached a historic financial milestone by distributing record-breaking surpluses, or ‘sobras’, to members nationwide. These distributions, totaling tens of billions of reais, reflect the sector’s expansion as members seek alternatives to traditional corporations. Under the democratic participation model, these surpluses are distributed based on transaction volume rather than capital contribution. Alongside financial growth, cooperatives continue social initiatives. The retail network Coop has resumed its ‘Ciclo de Palestras’ program via its sustainability platform, Coop Faz Bem. Since 1998, this program has hosted 18,000 lectures regarding financial education, waste reduction, and income generation to support community autonomy.
