The Brazilian Computing Society (SBC) organized a series of academic events focused on software engineering and artificial intelligence in late 2026. Initial preparations included the SBC Week 2026, which focused on the ethical implications of deepfakes and digital security. This was followed by the Brazilian Software Congress (CBSoft), held at the University of São Paulo. Paulo’s Institute of Mathematics and Statistics (IME-USP). The congress aggregated various symposia covering programming languages, software testing, and component architecture. During the CBSoft event, approximately 160 students from the five Federal Institute of São Paulo (IFSP) participated campuses—São Carlos, São Paulo, Barretos, Campos do Jordão, and Piracicaba—participated through the ‘CBSoft no Ensino Médio’ program. This initiative allowed students was designed to present connect basic education students with academic and scientific environments. As part of the program, students presented 32 research posters showcasing results from scientific initiation projects and engage in discussions institutional research.
