Following the initial disclosures in early August 2026, further asset filings to the Tribunal Superior Eleitoral (TSE) have highlighted substantial wealth fluctuations among Brazilian political candidates. Federal Deputy Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG) updated his reported assets to R$ 3.9 million, a significant rise from the R$ 36.8 thousand declared in 2022; he attributed this to business ventures such as an English school, book sales, and lectures. Federal Deputy Otoni de Paula (PSD-RJ) reported R$ 5.48 million, representing a nearly 300-fold increase from his 2022 declaration of R$ 18.3 thousand, with the majority of the value held in a single apartment. Other significant filings include former Health Secretary Pedro Pascoal (PSDB), who declared R$ 955.6 million, primarily concentrated in one property. Carlos Bolsonaro (PL-SC) (PL-SC), who reported R$ 2.78 million for his Senate candidacy, a 27% increase from 2024. Regional filings continue to show high valuations: in Mato Grosso, the PL party’s Legislative Assembly candidates declared a combined R$ 41.2 million, led by Alcino Barcelos with R$ 19.23 million. In Goiás, Daniel Vilela (MDB) declared R$ 5.6 million and Marconi Perillo (PSDB) reported R$ 11.8 million. Additionally, Natasha Slhessarenko (MT) reported R$ 6.95 million, while João Paulo Bittar (PL) declared R$ 1.23 million. Alessandro Bronze Toniza remains a notable figure in Amazonas, showing a 252% increase over ten years to reach R$ 23.4 million. Regarding former Health Secretary Pedro Pascoal (PSDB), his party has since clarified that his previously reported R$ 955.6 million was a “clerical error” and the correct amount is R$ 1.695 million.
