Following the initial disclosures in early August 2026, further asset filings to the Tribunal Superior Eleitoral (TSE) have highlighted substantial wealth fluctuations among Brazilian political candidates. Federal Deputy Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG) updated his reported assets to R$ 3.9 million, a significant rise from the R$ 36.8 thousand declared in 2022; he attributed this to business ventures such as an English school, book sales, and lectures. Federal Deputy Otoni de Paula (PSD-RJ) reported R$ 5.48 million, representing a nearly 300-fold increase from his 2022 declaration of R$ 18.3 thousand, with the majority of the value held in a single apartment.
